Explosion Effects – Fire, Ice & Magic Blast VFX (HD)

HD effects for top-down games. 33 explosions in eleven elements, each in three sizes that are built differently, not just scaled: a quick pop for small hits, a burst with debris and smoke for medium ones, and a big blast with a shockwave ring, a crater or ground effect and a rising cloud for the large ones.

New elements and combinations

New elements: arcane, blood, necrotic and blue fire explosions, each in all three sizes.

7 combinations: seven cluster blasts, one per original element: three quick pops go off around the point, then a bigger burst in the middle. Each is a ready-made chain or layer of the effects in this pack: every clip of a combination shares one frame size and pivot, so they play one after another without re-aligning.

Every explosion plays once and fades out cleanly, so it can be removed on its last frame. The pivot is the ground point under the blast, so they line up with characters and projectiles on the same camera angle.

Quick import

1. Godot 4: copy an effect folder into your project and assign its SpriteFrames to an AnimatedSprite2D.
2. Other engines: slice the PNG sheets using the frame size and FPS from the JSON.

FAQ

Do they match the characters? Yes: the same HD finish, camera angle and light direction as every character pack in the series.

Can I use them as grenade or barrel explosions? Yes: the fire and earth explosions suit bombs, barrels and mines; the magic ones suit spells and boss attacks.
