Frost Undead – Top-Down 8-Direction Character Sprites (HD)

Four HD frost undead for top-down games. Frost Skeleton, Frost Skeleton Thug, Frost Undead Warrior and Frost Plague Hulk: frozen bone and armour, frost on every lit edge and a cold mist rising off them. Every animation in all 8 directions, 212×226 px, 218×222 px, 238×222 px and 266×286 px frames (plus 128 px copies), and a frost death for every character.

Attacks and a frost death

Blade, club, sword and flail attacks, each in all 8 directions, aimed where the character faces. Every character also has a frost death: the body freezes over, cracks behind a bright frost edge and breaks apart into frost mist, ending on empty frames so you can remove the character without a pop. The regular death is in the pack too.

Quick import

1. Godot 4: copy the character folder into your project and assign its SpriteFrames to an AnimatedSprite2D.
2. Other engines: slice the PNG sheets using the cell size, row order (S, SE, E, NE, N, NW, W, SW) and FPS from the JSON.
3. Keep the supplied feet pivot so characters stand on the ground in every direction.

FAQ

Which size should I use? The native size (listed above) or the 128 px copies; pick one scale for your camera.

Do they match the other packs? Yes: the same camera angle, scale and light direction as every character in the series, so the frost versions can fight next to the originals.

Like the Frost Undead? A rating helps a lot.

Version 1.1.0: effects in the frost look: the spawn effect for the Frost Skeleton and Frost Undead Warrior, and the Frost Plague Hulk's three attack effects as separate layers and combined with the character; 16 colour variations (violet frost, toxic frost, blood frost, glacier teal) for all four characters, plus recolour masks and a Godot shader for your own colours (optional ColourVariations folder).
